Standing before the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles, my portrait captures a moment of intersection between personal identity and cultural archetypes, a convergence that is both visually compelling and psychologically profound. The backdrop of the museum, a symbol of modern and contemporary artistic expression, contrasts with my presence, creating a dialogue between the individual and the collective cultural heritage. The photograph is more than a personal portrait; it is a commentary on the role of contemporary art in society. By positioning myself in front of MOCA, I align myself with the values of innovation, creativity, and cultural dialogue that the museum represents. The image reflects a broader social narrative where art becomes a medium for exploring and understanding cultural identities and archetypes.
In a photograph I took at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Arte during my time in Buenos Aires, tourists are seen contemplating the works of Emilio Pettoruti, capturing a moment of connection with modern Latin American art. Modern and contemporary Latin American arts and culture are central to my professional expertise, forming a key focus of my consultancy work in the field.

ABOUT ME

I am an italian art consultant and artist, specializing in photography, film studies and art history from the late 19th century to the 21th century.  After earning my bachelor's degree from the University of Siena, I obtained two Master's degrees in Arts and Humanities from universities in Leicester and Liverpool. I have also acquired additional certifications across Europe and USA. Subsequent to my academic endeavors, I have passionately immersed myself in arts and humanities consulting and photography.

My research interests are wide-ranging; focusing on modern and contemporary art history with a particular emphasis on world photography and its interdisciplinary interactions. I have always been intrigued by areas that go beyond the traditional boundaries of photography.

As a creative photographer, my photographs are available for purchase. I basically work on the street. The fields in which my photos revolve are essentially connected to a broad spectrum of genres and styles, predominantly centered on street photography, urban landscapes, and documentary styles.

I like to showcase the world through my eyes and highlighting the daily perspectives and features. I particularly enjoy capturing museum visitors while contemplating artworks.

In addition to photography, I am an expert in film history, with a solid background spanning from the origins of the medium to its contemporary evolutions. I specialize in cinematography, studying the visual, narrative, and stylistic techniques that define cinematic production in different historical and cultural contexts. I explore the deep interactions between cinema and photography, analyzing how photographic aesthetics have influenced cinematic style and framing.

In the field of film studies, I offer specialized consulting services, concentrating on film theory, aesthetics, and storytelling. My multidisciplinary approach blends academic rigor with creative passion, providing a rich and comprehensive understanding of each production’s details.

Furthermore, I am drawn to conducting research within a global art perspective, with particular focus on the Americas, Europe and Japan, contributing to the enhancement of cultural heritage.

Strolling through any city or town, one often encounters moments and places that beg to be captured. These fleeting instances, rich with life and emotion, form the essence of the photography of everyday life. Being a good everyday photographer requires keen observation and patience. It's about anticipating moments before they happen and being ready to capture them. When I was in Pasadena, strolling through its historic center I really noticed it cherishes its history while embracing the present and capturing evocative and powerful scenes.

The photograph centers on a towering wall brimming with portrait paintings, each from a different era, their diverse styles converging into a stunning mosaic of artistic opulence. The richness of the visual tapestry—a mixture of gilded frames, expressive faces, and varied palettes—evokes a sense of timeless grandeur. This interplay between the art pieces and the space itself creates a dynamic dialogue, where past and present viewers connect through the sheer weight of visual storytelling. It’s a celebration of artistic legacy and human connection in one striking frame.
